Hello folks, how do?
I'm not really around here as much as I used to be, and I notice that's the case for some/many of you, too (so perhaps you won't even read this...oh well).  If you want to keep in touch, there are some contact details below. I'm always up for chatting with people, regardless of how well I know you -- so be not afeared! and feel free to add me if you'd like to talk some time.

I'm James. I write stuff.

My poems have appeared in places like The Kenyon Review, Magma, Poetry Review, The New Welsh Review, The Rialto, Stand, the Warwick Review and many others I can't remember right now. Indeed, much Reviewage has apparently taken place.

I've written reviews and criticism for all sorts of places. I edited a poetry journal called Mimesis for a few years. In 2008 I received an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors. Tate ETC commissioned me to do some poems for their artwork stuff.

I've done copy-writing for the BBC and Lonely Planet, but it was very, very dull.

I graduated with first class hons BA in English Lit and then swindled my way into getting an MA with distinction in Creative Writing: Poetry. I'm currently studying for a PhD with money I've stolen off the Arts Council. Cheers, Arts Council!

Yeah. You're doing your thing. I really like where you're going. I mean of course your poetry is probably going to be just the word "fridge" repeated different amounts of times, or something equally confusing, but having followed your writing very occasionally and seeing its development (like deer learning to walk) is making me oddly happy.

Also if you google for "poeticwar like deer learning to walk" (cause I did want to find the exact line) you find a link to alt.sex.stories, and I'll just leave it at that.
