National Poetry Writing Month
April, the cruellest month, once again knocks upon our doors. What does this mean? Why, it's (inter)national poetry writing month.
Napowrimo
A barrelful of people the internet over will be writing a poem every day for the whole month of April.
Why not include yourself in that happy (slightly masochistic) company?
Just post them on your account as you would normally. You might like to encourage others facing the same plight. Or just keep them to yourself for later redrafting.
Forum Competitions
The literature forum will soon play host to a variety of weekly competitions for the duration of the month. Keep an eye out. Poems win prizes.

Geoffrey Hill's September Song
I was reading this poem again today and found I wanted to write a few quite superficial things about it, but I couldn't work out what I'd do with whatever I ended up writing. I considered posting something on facebook, but then remembered I had once hit on Hill's grand-daughter at a nightclub (a chance meeting) and subsequently become facebook pals. The world is very strange. It's a poem that sticks with me, mostly thanks to just a couple quiet lines. Here's the poem in full -- - September Song born 19.6.32—deported 24.9.42 Undesirable you may have been, untouchable you were not. Not forgotten or passed over at the proper time. As estimated, you died. Things marched, sufficient, to that end. Just so much Zyklon and leather, patented terror, so many routine cries. (I have made an elegy for myself it is true) September fattens on vines. Roses flake from the wall. The smoke of harmless fires drifts to my eyes. This is plenty. This is more than enough. - The
Storage???
Hi all! First off, thanks for the recent DD on Housefire -- which included some cursed comments which gave me great amusement. The reason I'm writing this, though, is that I can't work out how to access deviation Storage in this dreadful Eclipse thing. Does anyone know? I'd hate to lose access to the hundreds (eek) of deviations I've stored -- or to lose the ability to place current deviations into storage. Thanks!
Promising/Delivering
I've been awarded Evergreen Review's grant for a promising poet. You can check 5 poems here: https://evergreenreview.com/read/domesticated-interior-and-other-poems/
Eclipsed
So, it looks like dA has forced the Eclipse format now. It seems pretty terrible generally, but besides that has also altered the way 'deviations' are submitted, with the result that I don't know how to submit text any longer. Anyone know the best way to go about submitting poems n stuff?

done + comprehensive list up at my journal!
was a little stressful with 2nd semester junior year, but I loved the process. plus it went much better than last year (I found out about it on the 13th, and had to write a LOT of haiku to catch up )
anyway, I hope everyone else did well and had fun!
